SBY to visit earthquake victims in Manokwari PDF Afdrukken

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to visit earthquake victims in Manokwari regency, West Papua province where he will disperse people's entrepreneurship credits worth Rp 36.1 billion (US$3.2 million).

Tempointeraktif.com reported on Thursday that the president and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono will take a Boeing 737-500 airplane from Domine Eduard Osok Airport in Sorong to Rendani Airport in Manokwari.

On Jan. 4, an earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter Scale hit Manokwari, taking at least four lives and forcing approximately 1.000 residents to evacuate to temporary camps.

After visiting the victims, the president will head to Mansinam island to distribute people' independent program funds worth Rp 154. 7 billion to residents living in nine regencies.
