-- Indonesian military have stepped up sweeping operations in the Puncak Jaya region. Confirmed reports state that 15 people including women and children have been killed by the military so far, and hundreds of others remain in hiding in the jungle. We are making an urgent appeal to the international community to lobby the United Nations to act at this time before a full blown crisis unfurls.
