PRESS RELEASE: PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE PROVISIONAL GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF WEST PAPUA THIS YEAR 2018

The Public announcement of the formation of the first Provisional Government of the Federal Republic of West Papua. This event will announce in Capital of West Papua Jayapura this year 2018 and attend by Papuans from across the territory of Papua to support this historical momentum.

We have formed the Temporary Committee on February 14, 2018 in Jayapura to organize and prepare everything for this event by peace with worship Jesus Christ and announcement. This event will participate by Papuan people from across the territory of West Papua by peace and seek International recognition.

Indonesia strongest recognized independence of Palestine. Like Palestine, the Federal Republic of West Papua also seeks and pursure recongition from member countries of the United Nations and specially Pacific Countries.


West Papua had Declared of independence on October 19, 2011 at the Third Papuan People’s Congress in Jayapura and given that statehood is a threshold criterion for admission in accordance with the Montevideo Convention on the Rights and Duties of States, the United Nations Charter and the United Nations General Assembly rules of procedure of the admission of New Members to the United Nations.


We are seeking and pursue to the United Nations to recognize the state of the Federal Republic of West Papua and grant us membership to the United Nations in accordance with our application dated October 1, 2017 to Secretary-General, Unted Nations. We are also seeking and pursue to the member Countries of the United Nations to recognize independence of the Federal Republic of West Papua and protect and secure Leaders and Papuans people

Recognition of the Federal Republic of West Papua is part of “Save our Soul” from Indonesia authority. Through recognition, the practice of acknowledging an entity’s statehood, governments open the doors to treaty relations, trade, foreign aid, and, potentially, membership in the United Nations. Recognition offers hope, the promise of equality and having a nation’s voice heard on the world stage.
