Benny Wenda and the West Papuan movement just achieved their biggest international victory ever! 79 countries from Africa, the Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) passed a resolution condemning Indonesia's rampant human rights abuses in West Papua.
They could not have done this without the support of every one of you in our network.
The next step in the campaign is get the UN Human Rights Council to condemn Indonesian abuses. Benny, Vanuatu and the United Liberation Movement for West Papua are heading to the Council this March to table a motion on West Papua. Can you help them raise £5,000 to reach the UN Human Rights Council?

Passing a motion at the Human Rights Council is the next step on the road to West Papua's independence.
2019 was an incredible year. As well as their victory at the ACP, Benny and the United Liberation Movement achieved a resolution from 18 countries in the Pacific Islands Forum, and handed the West Papuan People's Petition to the UN. Benny was given the Freedom of the City of Oxford award in recognition of his struggle for liberation, and the West Papuan people launched their biggest uprising in 20 years. This could not have been achieved without the support of you and other members of the network.
With your support, they have even bigger plans for 2020. The first step is securing the support of the UN Human Rights Council, and for that, they need to raise £5,000.
