Neles Tebay is a priest of the diocese of Jayapura, West Papua
From 1998 to 2000 he was a journalist for the Jakarta Post (an English-language daily newspaper published in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia). He also taught at the Catholic Institute for Theology and Philosophy in Jayapura. Since 2003 he has been undertaking a PhD programme in missiology at the Pontifical Urban University in Rome.
