OPM to Support the Unity of Indonesia

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The Indonesian Ambassador for the Netherlands, Jusuf Effendy Habibie, reported to Vice President Jusuf Kalla yesterday about the arrival of Nicolaas Jouwe, one of the founders of the separatist Free Papua Organization (OPM). “ Jusuf Kalla supports the unity of this country,” he said.

He explained that Jouwee now is in Jakarta and will go to Papua.

Jouwe met Jusuf Effendy Habibie in the Netherlands on 23 February. “Jouwe suggested all guerrilla fighters in forests in Papua or abroad to support the unity of Indonesia,” said Habibie.
