Jayapura:Seven active bombs from the World War II were found by residents on Hamadi Beach, Jayapura, Papua, Monday (14/6).

Residents reported the finding to the police.

A member of the Papua police bomb squad, Hasan Basri, said that the seven objects were torpedo bombs. They weight is 2-10 kilograms, they are 10-30 centimeters long, and their diameters are 24-30 cm.

The bombs are still active and have a strong explosive power.
