Comments: London rally demands Papuan independence

The Indonesian government said it was not worried about demonstrations held in London on Tuesday demanding Papuan independence.

The gathering, known as the International Lawyers for West Papua (ILWP) conference, was held at Oxford University in London and demanded the independence of West Papua.

I think the government should be more active in order to deal with these separatist groups. As a nation, we cannot allow such a humiliating event to happen again anywhere in this world including in Papua.

In doing so, the government should accelerate the economic development and increase the wealth of the people in Papua as proof that we take good care of Papua as part of our nation.
