A police officer in Serui, West Papua, died on Tuesday after he set himself on fire at home.
First Insp. Adj. Yosef Resubun might have suffered from depression as he poured kerosene over his body and set himself on fire on Tuesday, according to Serui Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Daniel Priyo, as reported by metronews.com.
The fire burned down Yosef’s home and 11 other units in a police housing complex, causing Rp 300 million ($US33,000).
