A massive fire on Friday at the main market in Timika, Papua, gutted 152 kiosks and resulted in losses in the billions of rupiah.

The fire reportedly started at a food stall at the Central Market at about 5 p.m. and spread quickly to the other kiosks.

Stall owners said it took just 20 minutes for the fire to spread and raze the kiosks to the ground. By the time firefighters arrived, the fire had already died down.

The owners, most of whom lost all of their stock in the blaze, got angry at the firefighters for showing up late. One of the firefighters was reportedly drunk.

Police are still investigating the fire’s cause.
