Forensics experts at Bhayangkara Police Hospital in Papua have identified the identity of the passenger who was killed on Tuesday afternoon in a mysterious vehicle explosion.
Police identified the victim as Syaiful Bahri, 24, who worked as a driver in the Jayapura area in Papua.
Syaiful died inside his Toyota Avanza when it exploded at a cemetery in Jayapura on Tuesday. It took authorities an hour to extinguish the vehicle's flames. They discovered Syaiful's body in the backseat.
The police were able to identify Syaiful's identity through his wife, Yunita, as well as through his dental records, as tribunnews.com reported.
Police are still trying to figure out the cause of the accident. (png)
