The Jakarta Police’s Gegana bomb squad evacuated a package containing materials allegedly intended to make a bomb from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport’s post office on Friday.

“Officers found two red wires, a detonator, some nails and a battery wrapped inside a long tube inside the package,” airport police chief Sr. Comr. Chuzaini Patopoy said, adding that National Police Forensic Laboratory test results would confirm the details .

He said a previous security check by an X-ray machine showed such materials.

On the delivery form, the package was declared a fish processing machine and was to be sent to Ayuk at Ratu Tekstil store on Jl. Raya Mandala No. 148 in Merauke, Papua, while the sender was identified as Kasdiyo from Ketanggan Gringsing, Batang, Pekalongan, Central Java.
