Press Release: Declaration of Papua United Party and Democratic Party

The independence and membership of the United Nations for West Papua is our rightful goal in accordance with the Montevideo Convention on the Rights and Duties of States 26 December 1933 and the UN Charter 1 January 1942. Referring to both the Montevideo convention and UN Charter West Papua declared its independence at the end of the Third Papuan People’s Congress on 19 October 2011 and as a consequence taking upon themselves the responsibility of maintaining peace and giving the guaranteeÂÂÂ ÂÂÂ of citizenship to all the people presently residing in West Papua.
The Provisional Government of the Federal Republic of West Papua announced on July 31, 2018 the manifest of the nation that aspires to be independent as a civilized and prosperous society, which implements the values of honesty, truth, justice and openness that comes from a profound conscience which can be trusted to be faithful and true to its promises as well as Its actions and to be acting fair in all situations with the principle of love, faithfulness, honesty and consistency in accordance with the provisions that have been mutually agreed upon.
The realization of the ideals of independence requires the establishment of a functioning democracy which guarantees the creation of a just state order and a government that is responsible, clean, transparent and reliable, upholding human rights, and preserving the environment for the enhancement and endurance of the dignity and prosperity of the West Papuan nation and all its people.
In order to realize this it is necessary to have a strong vehicle to guide this struggle, capable of channeling the political aspirations and realizing all the potentials of a diverse nation, as well as all people being actively involved in political parties, for which the first step has been taken now.
That in order to maintain the unity and integrity of the West Papuan nation and avoid division, only two political parties were formed as part of the political balance between the people and the government.
That the Papuan United Party abbreviated as P3 and the Democratic Party abbreviated as PD have been formed in the center of the state capital, 10 state provinces, 10 municipalities and 88 regencies on 24 April 2021.
It is time for the Provisional Government of the Federal Republic of West Papua and the people and nation of West Papua to prepare for full independence and take over power from Indonesia, so by asking Thanks to You Lord, Jesus Christ, King of Heaven and Earth and through the intercession of the Holy Spirit, today Friday 18 June 2021 we declared the PAPUA UNITED PARTY and DEMOCRATIC PARTY which are national, democratic and open.
