Four days before the UK General Election, the man tipped to become the
next British Prime Minister has described the conflict in West Papua as
a 'terrible situation'. David Cameron made the comments during an
interview published today in the Daily Telegraph newspaper.

With a hung Parliament looking likely, the possibility of a Conservative
/ Liberal coalition led by David Cameron alongside Nick Clegg, leader of
the UK Liberal Democrats, could mark a shift in the UK's position on
West Papua. During his time as a student, Nick Clegg was the chairman of
his university's Survival International group, campaigning for the
rights of tribal people around the world including those in West Papua.
